Wilding Reclaimed – Gilded Owl

29.5 x 37.25″  Mixed media and 24k gold on reclaimed upholstery fabric over reclaimed cradled hardwood panel.

This series connects many elements of my creative journey so far… incorporating my fiber art roots by using reclaimed upholstery fabric as the substrate, and building the image with layers of spray paint, acrylic, and additional materials including 24k gold leaf. The image emerges, layer by layer, bit by bit, using elements with a history both inherent and evolved.
