This project was for a client of Kelly Brother’s Painting, and involved hand-painting realistic knots and grain into epoxied areas a reclaimed oak floor, using stains, throughout the lower floor of a remodeled residence. Depicted is one fauxed area of approximately 60+ total. Please click through to see the “before” image for this project. I specialize in what I call “figurative faux”, and create customized creative solutions for each creative ‘problem”. This client loved the reclaimed wood used for the flooring, but not the white patches created as the flooring was stabilized with epoxy in the cracks and knots… which is where I came in and made them “disappear” and integrate into the whole.
